Stories for awareness.

When storytime becomes learning time.

Through reading my books, I hope that children will be able to form a connection with the endangered places and species that need our help today. Igniting passion in children for the natural world is a step towards raising the next generation of environmental stewards.

Who? (2021)

Inspired by the 2019 Students on Ice Arctic expedition, Who? follows the journey of a Snowy owl, Ukpik, in search of a new home, after his own is left uninhabitable by the impacts of climate change. This inspiring and informative Arctic tale is a wonderful story for teachers and parents to share with younger children and start discussions about climate change and environmental stewardship.

The Girl Who Saved a Tree (2018)

The Girl Who Saved a Tree is based on first-hand experience studying the effects of climate change and deforestation in the Amazon rainforest. The book teaches children about the importance of protecting our natural world. In the story, a girl saves a tree from bulldozers as they move in to tear down the Amazon rainforest. By saving the tree, the girl helps save the many animals and plants that call the forest home.
